As a founder and owner of Woodford Physical Therapy, Michael Spalding, PT, DPT, brings a strong foundation of discipline and expertise. A veteran of the US Army, he served four years as a tank crewmember in the Gulf War. Michael's academic path includes a BS in Health Sciences and a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 1998, culminating in his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. He focuses his practice on General Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Industrial Rehabilitation, providing specialized care to his patients. In his free time, Michael enjoys making memories with his family at Disney World, traveling to the US National Parks, and is an avid fan of UK sports.
As the owner of Woodford Physical Therapy, Kimberly Spalding, PT, MS, brings a wealth of expertise to her practice. A proud alumna of the University of Kentucky, she earned both her Bachelor's in Health Sciences and her Master's in Physical Therapy there in 1998. Kim's passion lies in Total Joint Replacements, where she helps patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life. When she's not at the clinic, you will find her at Bliss on Brannon Boutique, which she recently opened in the spring of 2024. She loves being able to work in both physical and retail therapy. In her down time, she cherishes time traveling with her husband, Mike, and their children, Dylan, Nick, and Kennedy, and staying active through exercise.
Hi, I'm Kristy and have worked as a tech at Woodford PT for 21 years. I thoroughly enjoy working with patients and seeing their improvement through their time at WPT. My husband Derek and I have two daughters and live here in Versailles where we were both born and raised. We enjoy traveling, baking together and going to antique shows.
Pearl is another one of our PT techs in the clinic and has been here for over 20 years. She is originally from Floyd County and graduated from the McDowell High School and she then went on to graduate from Midway College. Pearl has always had a passion for working in the medical field which she has done since graduating from college. In Pearls free time she enjoys going to antique shops, visiting the sick and grooming her yard.
Hi, I'm Whitney! I'm the office manager at Woodford PT and have worked here since May 2002. I originally started out in high school as a PT tech and years down the road eventually found myself in the front office. I love getting to work with a great team and getting to know new patients everyday. I am from Versailles, married to my husband Ryan and we have two boys; Tanner & Camden. When I'm not at work you will more than likely find me at the baseball field watching both my boys play ball. If we arent at the ball field I love to spend time with our families, go to the beach & watch UK sports.
Hi, I'm Hannah! I've been the receptionist at Woodford PT since October 2020. I love getting to know our patients and being part of such a great team. When I'm not at work you'll usually find me traveling with my boyfriend, spending time with our families or hunting for cool finds at antique stores.
Hello, I'm John and I was born and raised in Port Orange Florida. I graduated from Asbury University with a bachelors of science degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology. I was also a member of the mens soccer team. I've had the pleasure of working at Woodford PT now for 3 years. Currently I live in Nicholasville with my wife Devon. In my free time I love being outdoors, traveling, attending races at Keeneland, watching UK Basketball & Football and working out. My wife and I have a 5 year old Australian Shepherd named Onyx and a 2 year old Aussie Doodle named Ramey as well as a 6 year old thoroughbred, Ginger. We will also be welcoming our first baby this November, a baby girl!
My name is Beth, I am a PT tech that has recently had the pleasure and opportunity to return to the Woodford PT family the beginning of 2025. I am a native to Woodford County and a former employee of Woodford PT for 7 years. I previously left to become a homemaker to my husband Jay and our three children together; Ethan, Zoey & Jaylen. I also have two bonus boys; Brandon & Chase. I enjoy spending time with my family, the outdoors and exercising. I have always had a passion for helping others and meeting new people.
Hi, I'm Sheila. I'm originally from Bullitt County but Versailles is home now. I graduated years ago from the University of Louisville-GO CARDS! As well as from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I'm married to my husband Michael and have two grown children. I enjoy walking, doing yard work and teaching my dog new tricks. I've been at Woodford PT for three and a half years and I love working with all the patients.

I recently graduated from EKU with my Masters in Exercise Science in Dec 2023. Ive been working at Woodford PT for 8 months now. In my free time, I enjoy lifting weights and spending time with my boyfriend, Blake, and my pup, Ruger.
